Daddy-O Follow up

Okay, now that the dust has settled, here's my thoughts on the "Swine Flu Pandemic(alleged)". I think, once again, the real disease, Political Correctness, has infected our leaders, mainly Daddy-O. For fear of offending "illegals" (alleged), he somehow can't see the "enchanted" forest for the trees. How does one contain a fledgling pandemic? You first shut down the borders, simultaneously disallowing all flights from entering the United States from Mexico! It's not rocket science, but it is science. And don't say it can't be done. It can...and should. (Beatle reference): The Moptops once said they ceased touring because their music became too complicated to present on stage...well, maybe we were stupid at the time, we believed them. That notion has since been disproved time and again in the subsequent years by "Tribute" groups, who were far less accomplished (in most cases) musicians than The Beatles! So, quick, get a PC cure! Do the right thing. Daddy-O, I'm pleading with you: don't stand idly by when there's a quick fix to nip this shit in the bud, bud! And you know it can be done.

Daddy-O

"Remember to wash your hands and when you cough, cover your mouth with your hand"...so says The Prez, who will now and forevermore be referred to as Daddy-O. Before we go further, I believe a correction is needed. One should not cover their mouth with one's hand...that would lead to a tremendous amount of unnecessary hand washing. The suggested method is to cough into the "crook" of the elbow. That also works better when clothing covers the arm, thus absorbing the "trauma" of the cough. See where I'm going here? I'm rambling on about the mundane...and that , ladies and germs, is the job of the President, Daddy-O.

This Ain't Gonna Fly

The Democrats crack me up. If it isn't something as vague as "it's somebody else's fault", they're still blaming it on Bush! Okay, let's get to it. This Air Force One New York City "fly-by" thing. Hilarious! Okay, I didn't mean to be insensitive. The funny part (and one of the things that crack me up) is how President O says "we just heard about this thing when you folks did". Come on! Someone's flying HIS plane, getting a close up view of Manhattan on Monday and he didn't know it was being taken for a "spin". So, he "spinned" it! Let's just say, if this would have happened on W's watch, the press would have been all over this like stink on shit. But, O says "we didn't know"..the Lefties in the Media say.."oh, okay- next story!"

I bet they were getting video for O's next commercial production. Notice how his administration is like a Seinfeld episode; mostly about nothing. Like my dad used to say, "he pushes his pencil around the desk all day". Which really DOES bring us to the next story: Chuck "Me" Schumer, D-NY. Instead of being outraged like Mayor Bloomberg, he takes the opportunity to blame the FAA for the "mishap" (i.e. the gent he labeled a "lackie" appointed by the Bush administration) as being the true culprit in this debacle. The left wing press covers THIS story more than President O's selfish, insensitive, true reasons for scaring the crap out of New Yorkers. Sad part is, the Prez's approval ratings will probably go UP in spite of this latest pack o' lies.

And THAT brings me to the next liar: Arlen Specter, the 6 term "Republican" Senator from Pennsylvania. He was on the precipice of being bounced from the GOP nomination for a 7th term by Pat Toomey-R, so what does he do? He becomes a Democrat today! See, I told you they would crack you up.

Not So Heavenly Baseball

You know there's a problem when the only topics of conversation in the OC, when it comes to the beloved Angels, is no longer "when are we gonna drop the Los Angeles from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim"! When talk turns to no clutch hitting, blown saves, silly errors in the field, mental mistakes and overall play that smacks of my son's Little League, we've got serious problems in Paradise.

Okay, so it didn't help that some idiot drunk killed one of my new favorite Angels, Nick Adenhart, by plowing into the car he was riding in with 3 friends (two of whom perished along with Nick), putting a team, and apparently, a season on hold right out of the starting gate. But, what about concentrating and playing hard in the memory of Nick? That's all I'm sayin'! FOCUS and win for the kid! C'mon guys.

Fox 11 Morning News

Arrrrrrgh! There's this woman, Dorothy Lucey, who reads Us, People, The Enquirer, and assorted shit like that while she's co-hosting the morning news show on the L.A. Fox affiliate. She has lots of "scoop" (rhymes with "poop") on celebs, she watches American Idol religiously and she's apparently RELIGIOUS (which is her only attribute I find meaningful). Steve Edwards, the male host, is apparently a "moderate liberal conservative" (whatever that means). All week they've had this continuing discussion about torture, waterboarding and the like. They had just showed a clip where OC Congressman Dana Rohrbacher asked Hillary Rodham Clinton if she agreed with recent remarks by former VP Dick Cheney regarding the release of ALL classified information regarding the so-called torturing of maniacal thugs and she responded by saying something like, "you don't think I'm ever going to agree with Dick Cheney, do you?". Well, THAT was a typical Democrat response: answering a yes or no question with a question! So what does Dorothy (that was my mother's name so I find it hard to HATE her) L. do when Steve E. asks her a pointed question about how she would feel (remember political correctness requires feelings exclusively) if she knew there was someone who had potential life-saving information? Would it be okay to "torture" that idiot to get the info? She answers the question with a question, brings back old shit about Condi Rice, John Ashcroft, etc., ruling waterboarding as legal...ad nauseum. Don't you people realize that the information we "tortured" out of that hairy bastard our brave men and women captured over in Iraq years back, waking him out of a dead sleep in the middle of the night, helped save the city of Los Angeles from a 9-11 devastation? Wake up and smell your friggin' herbal tea, folks. Oh, and I don't love Lucey,

Earth Day

Funny how no one can really determine the exact date for Earth Day. There always seems to be a controversy regarding this every April. My Beatles calendar says it's tomorrow, April 22. I Googled the date and came up with today as the day. So what gives? At any rate, we at Beatles-A-Rama!!! are either celebrating pre-Earth Day or Earth Day proper by offering the Earth (and all far away planets with Internet capabilities) to listen all day today without any commercial interruptions! Get it while it's hot, folks.

Torture

I don't know what all the hubbub about torturing suspected terrorists really means. Are we that politically correct, touchy-feely, that we no longer care enough to get information that could very well save lives when it comes to the THUGS, that we should just play nice? I don't think so. Well, Mr. Obama has gone to Washington on a platform of change. He has recently travelled all over the world apologizing for the United States and shaken hands with some of these thugs and basically embarrassed all true Americans. Know what? I don't think this is a bad country. The Messiah apparently does and that worries me a lot more than being concerned about hurting some crazed idiot's psyche and/or feelings.

Getting started

Okay, so I've never done this before. So please forgive me for being new. I'm just getting started and there's sure to be more to follow. But, for now, let me just get this out of the way.
